Summary of the thread
A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox owner is experiencing power steering issues, including a vibrating steering wheel, spongy handling, and difficulty turning, accompanied by an error code. Fuses, huh? I hadn't thought of that. Where are the fuses for the power steering located exactly? And did checking those solve your issue, or was it something else?

Yeah, check the fuse box under the hood, diagram should be on the cover. Fuses weren't my problem though. Ultimately, the shaking and hard steering got so bad I took it to a shop. Turns out a faulty cable or plug on the steering column was the culprit. Made the steering feel like stirring concrete!

Thanks for the heads up! I booked it into the workshop after your comment. You were spot on, a defective cable. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the advice!

Sounds rough! I've got an Equinox too, and had similar issues. Felt like I was trying to steer a boat with a broken rudder, real spongy, you know? First thought was low hydraulic fluid, but Equinoxes don't even have that, it's all electric steering. You check the fuses? Might be something simple.
