Equinox rough idle and stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Chevrolet Equinox diesel with 194,537 km is experiencing rough idle, stalling, and a check engine light, with suspected issues related to the fuel pressure sensor. The problem may be caused by a defective cable or plug connection to the sensor. A similar case was resolved by replacing a faulty connection to the fuel pressure sensor, which successfully addressed the symptoms.

Yes, it feels like a misfire sometimes. Fuel economy seems worse, but I haven't calculated it precisely. What exactly was the cause in your case?

I had the same symptoms. It turned out to be a faulty connection to the fuel pressure sensor, just like you suspected. I tried cleaning the contacts, but it didn't help for long. I suggest taking it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose it properly and replace the connector or sensor if needed.

Thanks. It was indeed a defective plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor. I replaced it for 95€, and the problem is solved.

I had similar issues on my Equinox: rough running, engine stalled at idle, and the check engine light was also on. Does it also feel like an engine misfire? What about fuel economy; has that dropped off too? Definitely sounds like a fuel delivery problem. It could even be a fuel injector issue, but let's start with the sensor since you already suspect that.
