Equinox rough idle engine mount error
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Chevrolet Equinox diesel with 186,615 km was experiencing rough idling and an engine mount error. The issue was consistent, and initial checks of wiring and plugs showed no obvious problems. A suggestion was made to inspect the rubber mount for damage and consider a professional diagnosis. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing a defective engine mount, which smoothed the idle and cleared the error.

Thanks for the quick reply! The error is consistent, it's always there when I scan it. I did a quick look at the rubber mount, but nothing jumped out. What exactly should I be looking for?

Okay, consistent error points more towards a defective engine mount, or wiring as you suspected. I'd suggest getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop. It's a relatively inexpensive part, I think mine was around 95€ for the replacement and labor.

Appreciate the advice! I took it to my local shop and you were spot on. Turns out it was a defective engine mount. They replaced it and the error is gone, and the idling is smooth again. The final bill was indeed around 95€. Thanks again!

I had a similar problem with my Equinox. Is the error consistently showing up, or is it intermittent? It could be a failed mount, but also check for any signs of damage to the rubber mount itself. Sometimes a visual inspection can tell you more than the error code.
