Equinox transmission issues
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Chevy Equinox diesel with 70,000 km is experiencing severe transmission issues, including emergency mode activation, improper shifting, slipping, grinding noises, and warning lights. An error code indicated a potential radiator oil pressure defect, which was suspected to be related to a defective cable. The problem was resolved by addressing a faulty sensor connection, which was fixed by cleaning and reconnecting the contacts.

Coolant level seems okay, and I don't see any obvious leaks. But what do you mean 'pressure gauge'?

Yeah, I had the same thought about leaks, but nothing visible. It ended up being a bad sensor. Probably best to take it to a workshop to make sure. But if you want to try, cable connections are the best place to start looking for failure.

Thanks a bunch! I took it to the shop, and you were right. Turns out it was a faulty sensor connection, just like you said. They cleaned the contacts and reconnected everything and it is good as new. The whole thing cost me 95€!

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Equinox. Is your pressure gauge in order? Check your radiator coolant if there are any leakages first.
