Equinox Turn Signal Lamp Error

I'm getting a defective turn signal lamp error on my 2018 Chevrolet Equinox diesel. Mileage is at 75627 km. The error is stored, and there's a message in the speedometer, plus the obvious lighting fault. Initial diagnostics point to a cable or plug connection issue. Has anyone else seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox diesel displayed a defective turn signal lamp error, with diagnostics suggesting a cable or plug connection issue. A similar case with a 2016 Opel Insignia revealed a corroded connector as the cause. The solution involved checking and repairing the connector, which resolved the issue after a workshop visit.

I had a similar issue with my 2016 Opel Insignia. Same symptoms – error message, lighting fault. Turned out to be a corroded connector. Have you checked the connector pins for corrosion or damage?

Thanks, that's helpful. Where exactly was the corroded connector located on your Insignia? Was it difficult to access?

It was right at the lamp housing itself, pretty easy to get to after removing the tail light assembly. Given it's a similar issue, I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop. Could be more complex than just a simple fix.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the workshop; corroded connector as suspected. Repair cost 95€. All sorted now.
