Equus ABS Lateral Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Hyundai Equus owner experienced an ABS system failure, with the diagnostic scan indicating a lateral acceleration sensor fault. This issue was confirmed by another individual who had a similar problem, suggesting that the control unit might be defective. The recommended solution was to take the vehicle to a workshop for repair, which resolved the issue by replacing the faulty sensor.

Yeah, error stored in the error memory for sure! What was it and how did you fix it?

Sounds like the same lateral sensor issue. Apparently, the control unit can be defective. I'd take it to a workshop; it's a safety thing.

Thanks! Took it to the shop like you said. Lateral sensor in the control unit was indeed kaput. Cost me about 1000€, but at least it's fixed and safe now. Appreciate the heads-up!

Dude, I had almost the same thing happen on my Equus! ABS light, system failure, the works. Was it also storing an error in the error memory?
