Equus Emergency Call System Error
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Hyundai Equus is experiencing a malfunction in the emergency call system, indicated by an error message and warning light on the speedometer. The issue is suspected to be due to a loose cable or bad connection in the system's wiring, a common problem for this model. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop to confirm and resolve the faulty connection.

Good question! No jump start or recent software installations. It just appeared out of nowhere one morning. Did yours clear up on its own, or did you have to do something to fix it?

Mine didn't clear itself, unfortunately. It turned out to be a faulty connection as you suspected. I would advise going to the workshop and letting them take a look at it.

Thanks! I suspected it was something like that. I'll get it checked out at the workshop. They quoted me 95€ for fixing the cables. Appreciate the confirmation that it wasn't something more serious!

I had something similar happen in my Equus, although I don't remember the exact error code. Did it start happening after any specific event, like a jump start or a software installation? It almost felt like the car forgot it had the emergency call feature.
