EQV Battery Heavily Discharged Error Message

I'm experiencing a concerning issue with my 2020 Mercedes EQV electric model. I'm getting a battery heavily discharged error message on the speedometer. I've also noticed weak and flickering lights, and the error is stored in the error memory. Starting the engine feels like a strain due to a weak vehicle battery. I suspected issues with battery charging but the charging process appears normal. Has anyone else encountered this? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. I am leaning towards a defective battery sensor based on my research of car battery issues.

I had a similar problem with my EQV. Check the battery terminals for corrosion and ensure they are properly tightened. A loose connection can cause similar symptoms. Also, examine the condition of the vehicle battery itself. How old is it?

Thanks for the quick response. The battery terminals look clean and are properly tightened. The car battery is the original one that came with the car. Did you also find that replacing the car battery fixed your dead battery problem?

In my case, cleaning the battery terminals did not resolve the issue. I recommend having the battery sensor checked by a qualified workshop as soon as possible. A defective sensor could lead to further electrical problems.

Thank you for confirming that the battery sensor is a likely cause. I took the car to the workshop. They confirmed the battery sensor was defective and replaced it. The total repair cost was 315€. The error message is gone, and everything seems to be working normally now.
