EQV car key problems

EQV car key issues Anyone else had this problem? My 2020 Mercedes EQV's key is throwing a 'low battery' warning. Keyless entry is dead, and the central locking is acting up. Error's logged too. Mileage is at 166516 km. I guess it's just a dead key fob battery?

I had similar issues with my EQV car key. Keyless go stopped working, and the range for remote locking was reduced. Have you tried replacing the battery in the car key yet? That fixed it for me.

Was it definitely the battery then? Any idea what kind of battery the car key takes? Don't want to buy the wrong one.

Yep, new battery sorted it. I didn't check the type myself, just went to the workshop. They replaced it, cleared the error memory, and it was done. Best to get it done professionally to avoid any issues.

Thanks, took your advice and went to the workshop. Car key battery replacement sorted it. Cost 37€. Appreciate the help!
