EQV Headlight Cleaning and Windshield Washer Issue

Has anyone seen this before? My 2022 Mercedes EQV electric with 137904 km on the clock is throwing a weird one. The headlight cleaning system seems kaput, and now my windshield washer isn't working either. Could be a pump cable connection or a relay gone bad I guess. Any ideas before I start tearing things apart? Seems like they are somehow linked. Could be a clog somewhere, but feels more electrical. I will probably have to swallow the bitter pill and get it fixed for 165€ The headlights are LED btw.

Whoa, that's a bummer! I had a similar issue with my EQV. I was convinced it was a leak or a blockage at first, but it turned out to be exactly what you're suspecting: a dodgy connection to the pump. Did you check the fuse box? Sometimes it's the simplest things. Is it throwing any malfunction errors on the dash?

Cheers for the tip! I did check the fuses, all seem fine. Where exactly was the dodgy connection on yours? Was it easy to get to, or am I looking at a proper strip down to get access?

Well, mine was a bit of a pain to get to, to be honest. I wouldn't say it's a job for the faint of heart. It was somewhere near the Xenon headlight assembly and behind the bumper, if I remember correctly. Honestly, given the potential for messing something else up and you have LED's which can be sensitive, I'd maybe just bite the bullet and take it to a shop. Less stress in the long run, even if it costs a bit.

Took your advice and went to a local garage. Turns out it was a corroded connection, just like you suspected. They cleaned it up and reconnected everything for 165€. Headlight cleaning and windshield washer both working again! Thanks for the help!
