Hey, thanks for writing back. My mileage is 59694 km and I have recently had a service. It shows the error by flashing the emergency call symbol in the dashboard and I can't connect to the emergency call system. There were zero error messages in the last period and I don't hear any strange noise. It is simply deactivated. Do you have any idea what could be done here?

Hi there! Sure, I'm happy to pass on my experience. Now that you have described the fault in more detail, it sounds exactly like the problem I had back then. In my case, as I said, it was the loudspeaker that wasn't working and that's why I couldn't reach the emergency call system. However, there may of course be another cause in your case. If the problem persists, I would advise you to have the vehicle checked by a garage. They can check it better with their professional equipment and determine the exact problem. It helped me and I think the costs were still reasonable. With Audi, you can often also hope for goodwill, especially if you don't have as many kilometers on it as you do. Maybe Audi will cover part of the costs if the warranty has already expired. Keep your fingers crossed and hope that the problem is resolved soon!

Hey, thanks for your advice! That's very helpful, I'll follow your advice and take the car to a garage. Hopefully it's just the speaker and not something more serious. I will also ask Audi if they could sort it out as a goodwill gesture. Thanks again, I'll keep you posted on how it goes afterwards. See you then!

Hello, my Audi A1 has the error that the control unit for telematics or also called OCU is displayed as defective in the VCDS. I wanted to replace it with a used one. Couldn't do it because it has to be learned with a code, of course only at the dealer. As I don't want to install a new control unit every 3 years, my question? Is it possible to program the SOS emergency call system? Many thanks for your answer

Hello, It is strongly advised not to program the SOS system as this is a safety-relevant component/system. This may invalidate the vehicle's operating license and also invalidate the insurance cover. It is also possible that you will not pass the main inspection with your vehicle. Yours sincerely

Hi, I have a bit of experience with cars, but I'm not a professional. However, your problem sounds a lot like one I had with my Audi A3 Diesel model year 2015. There was also a problem with the emergency call system. I once experienced a similar problem with my brother's 2016 Audi A4 diesel. I then took my car to the garage and the diagnosis was a defective loudspeaker. The repair cost me 305 euros, which seemed fair to me. I hope this helps you! Could you perhaps say a bit more about the symptoms so I can better understand what exactly the problem is with your car? How exactly does the problem manifest itself with your emergency call system? Are there any noises or error messages that you have noticed?
