Hey, thanks for the answer! I actually suspected that it might have something to do with the sensor. Your experience with the ABS sensor sounds similar to my situation and that reassures me a bit. But do you remember how much you paid for the sensor replacement? And has everything run smoothly since then or were there other problems afterwards? Many thanks and best regards!

Hey, you're welcome! Yes, it was able to fix the faulty Hall sensor signal from the soft top and since then it closes and opens again like the first day. Although the workshop fee was €265, it was definitely worth it. The Hall sensor was faulty or defective, hence all the problems I had to deal with. But since it was repaired, everything has been running like clockwork. So don't worry, it's definitely fixable. Just find a good garage and you shouldn't have any more problems with the top afterwards. And remember, it's always better to take preventative measures before it leads to further damage. All the best! Best regards!

Hey, that's definitely encouraging! Yes, I thought it might be more of a sensor problem and your experience confirms that. 265 € is a hefty price, but if everything runs smoothly again afterwards, it's absolutely worth it. I'm going to visit my garage and have it checked. Hopefully they'll have an appointment available for me quickly. Thanks for the tip about preventative measures, I'll take that to heart. Thanks again for your help! See you then!

Hi, I can understand your concern. I had a similar problem with my 2007 VW Golf. In my case it was that my car frequently reported a fault condition, although nothing abnormal was actually going on. It turned out that a sensor was faulty - not the Hall sensor, but the ABS sensor. The workshop had to replace it. In the case of your Eos, it could well be that the Hall sensor is sending a faulty signal from the soft top. I can therefore advise you to have it checked in a workshop. Of course, it can be annoying if you can't open the soft top, especially when the weather is nice. But in my case, it was possible to replace the sensor, so it wasn't too much of a problem. So, don't worry too much. Hand the problem over to the experts in the workshop and they'll get it sorted. Keep your fingers crossed! Best regards!
