ES Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Lexus ES is experiencing engine stalling at idle and a check engine light, suspected to be caused by issues with the tank ventilation valve and possibly clogged hoses affecting the pressure sensor. A similar case suggested checking the purge valve and hoses for vacuum leaks. The problem was resolved by replacing the ventilation valve and repairing cracked hoses, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Was it the same symptoms? Engine light plus stalling? And did you end up replacing the valve itself, or just cleaning the hoses?

Yep, same symptoms. I ended up just taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly, so probably best to just get it checked.

Thanks! I took your advice and brought it in. Turns out it was the ventilation valve and a few cracked hoses. 175€ later and she's purring like a kitten again. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my ES. Check the purge valve and associated hoses. Could be a vacuum leak throwing things off.
