ES Hybrid charge air temperature sensor fault

Temperature gauge seemed normal, actually. More focused on the hissing noise. Air intake, you say? Was it definitely the sensor, or something else in that area causing the fault?

Well, the error code pointed to the sensor, but the actual culprit in my case was a cracked hose near the sensor. Created a vacuum leak, hence the hissing. Might be worth a quick visual inspection, but honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly.

Appreciate the insight. Workshop it is. It was indeed a defective connector and some corroded pins at the charge air temperature sensor, as suspected. New connector and sensor pins, 95€ all in. Sorted.

ES owner here. Those symptoms sound familiar! Did your temperature gauge also act erratically before all this happened? I had similar issues a while back; turned out to be related to the air intake system. I wonder if we have the same gremlin.
