ES Hybrid heated mirrors not working

My 2018 Lexus ES hybrid's heated mirrors stopped working. Both of them. The fuse is fine. The OBD reader shows an error related to the mirror heating circuit, but nothing specific. I suspect a broken wire or a faulty connector. Has anyone else experienced this?

Interesting. I've got an ES hybrid as well, and I had a similar problem last winter. The mirrors just wouldn't heat up at all. I didn't bother checking the error codes myself, but it sounds like we're seeing the same thing. Did it start happening suddenly, or was it gradual?

It seemed to happen pretty suddenly, yes. One morning they were working, and then the next, nothing. That's why I suspected a fuse at first, but it's not that simple. Was your issue also intermittent, or consistently not working once it started?

Mine was consistently not working once it started. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They diagnosed it as a faulty connection within the mirror housing itself and quoted 95€ for the fix, claiming that a cable or plug was faulty. They replaced the connection, and it’s been fine ever since. Might be worth getting yours checked out.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like I'll have to bite the bullet and take it in. Good to know the potential cost beforehand. I appreciate you sharing your experience and will see if there is also a faulty connection within the mirror housing.
