ES rear sun blind failure
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Lexus ES hybrid owner experienced a failure with the rear sun blind, which was stuck closed and unresponsive. After checking fuses and scanning for error codes, the issue was suspected to be a defective motor. Another individual with a similar problem confirmed that a silent motor likely indicated a motor failure. The owner took the car to a workshop, where the motor was replaced, resolving the issue.

No, it doesn't make any noise at all. Complete silence. That's another reason I suspect the motor. Did yours do the same?

Yep, silent as the grave. Given that, and the error code you're getting, I'd say it's almost certainly the motor. It's probably best to take it to a workshop; messing with interior electrics can be a pain.

I appreciate the advice! I took it to a local shop and you were spot on - it was indeed the motor. Repair cost me about 330€ including parts and labor. All sorted now!

I had a similar problem with my ES sunshade. Does it make any noise when you try to operate it?
