ES Terminal 15 Ignition Error

My 2013 Lexus ES hybrid with 43k km is throwing a 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted' error, and the engine won't start. I've checked a few things, but I'm not super mechanically inclined. Could this be a wiring harness issue or maybe something with the fuse box? I am at a loss!

I had a similar problem with my ES, although not a hybrid. That Terminal 15 error usually points to a break in the power supply to the ignition system. Have you inspected the starter solenoid or relay switch? Check for any obvious corrosion or loose connections.

Thanks! I'll definitely check those. When you say 'similar,' did you have the exact same symptoms (engine not starting), and what did the 'break in the power supply' end up being in your case?

Yes, the engine wouldn't start. I ended up taking it to a workshop, as tracing electrical faults can be tricky. If you are not experienced with electrical diagnostics, I would advise you do the same. These circuits can be complex.

Appreciate the insight! I was hoping it would be a simple fix, but it sounds like I should probably take it in. I'll post what the issue was and the eventual repair costs. It turned out a defective cable was the root cause. Repair cost was 95€.
