Escape Defective Throttle Valve

I own a 2018 Ford Escape with a gasoline engine and about 206402 km on it. Recently, the check engine light came on, and I've noticed reduced engine power. Diagnostics points to a defective throttle valve. Could this be related to a faulty accelerator pedal module or its electronics?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Escape. Is the engine idling rough or is it going into limp mode?

Engine idling is definitely rough. Limp mode happens occasionally. Was your issue exactly the same? What fixed it?

Yep, sounds like the same throttle body issue I had. I would get it checked out at the shop asap, as a defective throttle valve can cause other problems.

Thanks for confirming! I took it to the workshop; you were spot on. Ended up being the throttle valve and the replacement cost was 265€. Runs like new now.
