Eseries central locking failure
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Ford Eseries diesel experienced a complete central locking failure, with neither manual nor remote functions working and a diagnostic scan showing an error. The initial suspicion was a defective cable or plug. A suggestion was made to check the fuse box, as similar issues had been resolved by addressing electrical problems. Ultimately, taking the vehicle to a workshop was recommended, where a simple repair was expected to resolve the issue.

Appreciate the quick reply! Was it precisely the central locking that failed? Any insights on the specific fuse or wiring area that caused your trouble? I am trying to narrow down the area before calling a technician.

Yep, it was the central locking specifically. I would suggest taking it to a workshop. Saved me hours, and you wont risk damaging anything.

Thank you. I have taken it to the workshop, and they are confident they can resolve it with a simple repair which is around 95€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Heard that. My Eseries had fits with the central locking! Check the fuse box first. Keyless entry can be a pain; I had a similar weird electrical issue a while ago.
