Eseries Idle Stalling

Having trouble with my 2011 Ford Eseries van, gasoline engine. Check engine light is on, error memory says it's the idle air control valve, and the engine stalls at idle. Mileage is 211460 km. Thinking it might be a contaminated intake. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. I had similar stalling issues with my old Opel Astra. Check engine light, the whole shebang. Turned out to be a dirty IAC valve. Is your idle speed also fluctuating a lot?

I tried cleaning the valve myself, but honestly, it was a temporary fix. The problem kept coming back. Eventually, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed the intake was heavily contaminated. Honestly, save yourself the headache and let a professional handle it.

Understood. Thank you for the advice. I will schedule an appointment with a workshop to have the IAC valve and intake system inspected. The eventual repair cost was 425€, which included cleaning the intake and replacing the valve.
