Eseries undervoltage issue

I'm having a really frustrating electrical problem with my 2007 Ford Eseries diesel. It's got just under 40,000 km on the clock. I'm getting undervoltage detected and it's causing all sorts of issues. The vehicle starts poorly, various systems are failing, the lights are weak and flicker, and the battery seems weak when starting. I've checked the obvious things like the battery terminals, but could a heavily discharged or defective battery really cause all this chaos? Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my Eseries. Have you had the battery checked? Maybe voltage regulator issue?

You had the exact same symptoms? What exactly did you have to do to fix it? I'm trying to avoid unnecessary trips to the mechanic.

Yes, same symptoms. Honestly, I would go to the workshop. They checked all electrical connections and could verify that the battery was defective. It costed me 290€

Thanks for the info! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. The battery was heavily discharged and defective, just like you said. New battery installed and everything's back to normal.
