Espace ABS and power steering issues

My 2019 Renault Espace diesel is throwing up some interesting errors. I'm getting a low tire pressure warning, but that's just the start. The ABS lamp is also lit, the steering wheel is vibrating like crazy, and it feels like the power steering is struggling, almost failing. Mileage is sitting at 47777 km. I've checked the tire pressures manually, inflated tires, and they seem fine, so I suspect the tire pressure monitoring system is at fault, or worse. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Espace last year. The low tire pressure warning was a red herring. The vibrating steering wheel and the power steering issue are definitely linked though. Did you notice any difference in how quickly one tire deflates compared to the others? Did the low pressure warning appear for just one tire or multiple?

Good questions. I did notice that one tire seemed to lose pressure a bit faster than the others, yes. Initially, the low pressure warning only popped up for that one tire, but now it's showing for all of them intermittently. Is there a common fault or a particular component that might be causing all these symptoms?

Right, that points to a slow puncture, most likely a defective valve in the tire itself. The tire losing pressure will mess with the ABS and power steering systems. The intermittent warnings for all tires are probably the system getting confused. I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop; continuing to drive like that is risky. I ended up having to replace the valve and recalibrate the TPMS. Cost me around 280€ all in.

Thanks, that's really helpful. Punctured tire, defective valve sounds very likely. I'll get it booked in at a garage ASAP. Appreciate the insights saved me a lot of diagnostic time and stress!
