Espace High Voltage System Error

I've got a 2023 Renault Espace hybrid with about 245k km on the clock. Recently, I've been getting a 'High-voltage system error' message. The engine sometimes shuts off, and there's a noticeable reduction in power. Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what might be causing it? I already checked the error memory and the error is stored.

I had something similar happen with my Espace. Not sure if it's exactly the same, but I was getting weird electrical fault messages and the car felt sluggish. Was your battery heavily discharged recently?

Hmm, that's interesting. Now that you mention it, the car did sit for a couple of weeks without being driven. Could that really cause such a dramatic issue with the high-voltage system?

Yeah, in my case it turned out the battery was heavily discharged. The voltage sensor freaked out and triggered all sorts of warnings. I would suggest visiting your local workshop and getting it checked, especially the high-voltage system and the battery itself.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Turns out the battery was indeed defective, they charged 290€ for a new one and the problem is gone. Appreciate the help!
