Espace key battery warning
Summary of the thread
The initial problem was a 'key battery low' warning in a 2010 Renault Espace, leading to non-functional keyless entry and an error message. The likely cause was suspected to be a depleted key battery. The solution was to replace the battery, which resolved the issue, confirming the initial suspicion.

Yeah, spare works fine. But is it really just the battery? Or could it be something more sinister, like the key fob itself?

I had the same thought! But for me, it was 'just' the battery. Though, honestly, I'd still pop into a workshop. If it's not the battery, they can diagnose properly.

Cheers! Yeah, it was the battery. 37€ later and all is well. I'll remember that for next time. Thanks!

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Renault Scenic. Is it completely dead? Like, does the spare key work?
