Espace O2 Sensor Issue

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2010 Renault Espace diesel. The check engine light keeps coming on, and I've got an error stored in the memory pointing to the O2 sensor. I've also noticed a jump in fuel consumption recently. I've checked the wiring and plug connection to the sensor, but everything seems visually fine. Anyone else run into this?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Espace. The exhaust sensor was faulty, causing the air-fuel ratio to go off. It threw an error code and lit up the dash like a Christmas tree. Have you checked the sensor itself, or just the wiring?

I've only checked the wiring so far. How did you diagnose the sensor itself as faulty? Was there a specific test you performed, or did you just replace it?

Honestly, I didn't have the tools to properly diagnose it. I just took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the O2 sensor after running some tests. Might be worth getting a professional opinion before throwing parts at it. Could also be the catalytic converter but let's hope not.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take it to a workshop and have them run a diagnostic. They are saying it will be around 95€ including the new sensor. Appreciate the help!
