When you say 'temperature control system,' are you referring to a specific component? I'm trying to understand the connection between that system and the radiator fan's operation. What part of the engine cooling failed?

By 'temperature control system,' I mean the network of sensors and components that regulate engine temperature, including the speed sensor. A faulty sensor might send incorrect data, preventing the fan from activating. Given the symptoms, take it to a trusted workshop for accurate diagnosis.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a shop. They identified the defective speed sensor, and the total repair cost was 250€. Thanks again for your insights. It saved me time trying to figure it out myself.

I have the same Espace. I had a similar issue not long ago: overheating, check engine light... It was related to the temperature control system, and the fan wasn't kicking in. Have you checked the fan blades for obstructions or damage? Also, look into the fan motor. A faulty car radiator can cause these issues.
