Espace Power Steering Issue

Vibrating wheel and spongy feel points to a few things. Have you checked the power steering fluid level? Also, any whining noises coming from the steering pump itself when you turn the wheel? Could be air in the system or a failing pump, but a bad connection is also plausible.

Fluid level is spot on, and I don't hear any unusual pump noises. But since you mention air, is there any way to bleed the power steering system on these new Espaces? I couldn't find any bleeder valve like on older cars. Maybe that cable connection is messing with a sensor?

If fluid level's good and no pump noise, air is less likely. The electric power steering on the 2023 Espace is pretty sensitive. That error code plus your symptoms strongly suggest the connection issue is the culprit. Time to bite the bullet and get it scanned and properly diagnosed. Should be about 95€.

Yep, you nailed it! Took it to the shop, and it was indeed a faulty connector on the power steering module. They cleaned and re-seated it, cleared the code, and it's steering smooth as butter now. Thanks for the sanity check!
