Espace reduced engine power and smoke

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my old Volvo V70. Was the fuel efficiency also suffering? Maybe it’s trying to regenerate without success? Have you checked the exhaust system for any leaks or unusual noises?

Well, after many attempts to fix it myself, I gave up and took it to the workshop. Turns out, the diesel filter was totally gone. Cost me a fortune. If you see smoke, that's not a good sign for the filter in my experience! So, I recommend a vehicle inspection. Do you think that helps?
