Espace Sunroof Not Initialized After Coding
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Espace experienced a 'not initialized' sunroof error, causing the sunblind to be stuck and the sunroof to be inoperable. The issue arose after coding changes, suggesting a coding error as the cause. A workshop visit confirmed the coding problem, and re-initialization of the sunroof system resolved the issue.

The error message doesn't give specific codes. What kind of reset are you referring to? Can I do that myself, or is special equipment needed?

I mean a proper initialization of the sunroof system through the car's computer. Usually, you need diagnostic equipment for that. Given that coding was carried out and it coincided with the sunroof issue, a workshop visit is probably best. They can check the coding and properly initialize the system.

I visited a workshop as suggested. They confirmed the coding was the issue. After re-initialization, the sunroof works again. The repair cost 75€.

Sounds like a coding issue. Did this start right after the coding? Sometimes the system needs a reset, but incorrect coding can mess things up. Any specific codes in the error message?
