Espace transmission issue

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2023 Renault Espace hybrid. It has about 116k km on it. The car won't start. The check engine light is on, and the transmission seems to be slipping or shifting roughly. Also, an error is stored about the parking position being defective. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Renault Scenic. It also has an automatic transmission. Same symptoms: wouldn't start, engine light, and weird shifting. Check your shift lock.

Shift lock, huh? Where exactly should I be looking? And what am I looking for, exactly?

Well, I'm no expert. I just remember mine doing the same thing before I took it in. Probably a defective control unit. I'd say get it checked out at a workshop. That's what I did.

Thanks for the tip! You were right. Turns out the control unit was defective. Cost me 1000€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!
