Espace Undervoltage Error
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Espace diesel with high mileage is experiencing an undervoltage error, poor starting, system failures, weak lights, and a low battery. The initial suspicion is a heavily discharged or defective battery. A similar case suggested checking the charging system, specifically the voltage regulator or alternator. After professional inspection, the alternator was confirmed faulty, and replacing it along with the battery resolved the issues.

Thanks for the tip! Any chance you remember the specific symptoms you had? And did you manage to fix it yourself, or did it need a workshop?

Yeah, same exact symptoms. Eventually, I had to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. Turned out my alternator was shot. Best to get it checked professionally; electrical gremlins can be a nightmare.

Appreciate the advice! Took it to a garage, and you were spot on - alternator was faulty. New alternator and battery later, cost me 290€, but she's purring like a kitten again. Cheers!

Hey, I had similar issues with my Espace. Have you checked the charging system? Weak battery, flickering lights, and system failures sound familiar. Could be voltage regulator or alternator.
