Essentia cold start injector issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Essentia with a gasoline engine is experiencing trouble starting and running rough when cold, potentially due to a faulty cold start injector. A defective injection valve or injector could cause these issues. A similar case was resolved by replacing a defective injector, suggesting that checking and possibly replacing the cold start injector might be a solution.

I haven't tried any injector cleaner yet. What did you do to figure it out? Did you look at the fuel delivery system too?

I didn't get into the fuel system myself. Injector cleaner didn't help, so I took it to a shop. They said it was a defective injector. Might be worth getting yours checked out.

Thanks for the help! I took it to my mechanic, and they also said it was a faulty cold start injector. Cost me 515€ for the repair. Appreciate you sharing your experience; it helped a lot!

Sounds familiar. I drive an Essentia too, and I had similar rough starts and poor running when the engine was cold. Have you tried any injector cleaner or looked into fuel delivery problems?
