Yeah, I kind of suspected it might be electrical. Was your van doing the same things – rough idle, power loss, that sort of thing? Where exactly was the faulty connection located, if you remember? Was it hard to get to?

Yes exactly! The same issues. I don't remember the exact location; this happened a few years back. But the whole thing was sorted at the workshop and I would advise you to take it there, too.

Thanks for the info! I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on – it was a dodgy connection to the fuel filter heater. They cleaned it up and secured it properly. Cost me 95€ and the van is running like new again!

I think I had something similar with my Estima (diesel also). Do you get it when it is cold, the error that is? Is the power loss all the time? It was the cable or plug connection of the component being defective. It gave error messages in the ECU but the workshop guys confirmed it with their diagnostics. I hope it helps!
