Estima Hybrid Weak Battery

Having a weird issue with my 2009 Toyota Estima hybrid. The battery seems weak when starting, and the lights sometimes flicker. It's done 150967 km. Could it be the car battery itself, or maybe something draining it? Anyone else had this?

Summary of the thread

A 2009 Toyota Estima hybrid is experiencing a weak battery and flickering lights, possibly due to a faulty battery or something draining it. A similar issue was resolved by checking the battery voltage, which revealed a defective battery sensor. It is suggested to have the battery sensor inspected to prevent potential damage to other components.

I had something similar with my Estima. Have you checked the battery voltage? It might be a defective battery sensor. Is it perhaps showing any strange readings?

Thanks! How did you figure out it was the sensor? Did you get any error codes, or did you just notice weird voltage readings?

Well, the voltage readings were all over the place, even after charging. Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a faulty battery sensor. Cost about 315€ to fix. I would suggest you do the same. Don't want to damage other components.

Thanks a lot! I'll get the battery sensor checked out. Sounds like that's the likely culprit. Will post the result after the repair!
