Estima Intermittent Starting Issue

I'm having a major headache with my 2016 Toyota Estima hybrid. It's got about 96k km on the clock, and recently it's been acting up. Sometimes it just won't start, other times it randomly shuts off while I'm driving, and when it does run, it feels really rough. I've checked all the dashboard lights, and they seem normal. Could it be the ignition coil or maybe the starter motor? This is driving me nuts!

Sounds frustrating! I had similar starting issues with my old car a while back. Have you checked the fuses? Sometimes a defective fuse can cause weird ignition problems. Also, does it happen more when the engine is cold, or does it seem random?

Good shout! I'll check the fuses. Where would I find the fuse for the ignition? And yeah, it does seem totally random - hot or cold makes no difference.

The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual, or a quick search online should point you in the right direction. If the fuses are fine, and the problem persists randomly, it might be a good idea to get it checked by a professional. Intermittent issues can be tricky to diagnose yourself.

Thanks for the tip! Turns out it was a blown fuse. Cost me 52€ to replace. Appreciate the help!
