Estima rough running and stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Toyota Estima was experiencing rough running, stalling at idle, and jerking during acceleration, with the check engine light on. The suspected cause was a faulty fuel pressure sensor. A similar issue was resolved by checking and fixing the cable and plug connection to the sensor. After inspecting and replacing the defective connection, the vehicle's performance improved significantly.

Thanks! I'll check the connections. Was the rough running constant, or did it come and go? Did you notice any impact on your fuel economy?

For me, the rough running was intermittent at first, then became more frequent. And yes, the fuel economy definitely took a hit. I'd recommend checking the connections thoroughly, but if that doesn't fix it, get the sensor checked at a workshop. Could save you a lot of headache.

Thanks! I checked the connection and it looked okay, so I took it to the workshop. It was a defective connection to the fuel pressure sensor, just like you said. They replaced the plug, and now it runs great. Total cost was 95€ Much appreciated!

I had a similar issue with my Estima. The symptoms sound very familiar. Did you check the cable and plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor? That was the culprit in my case.
