Summary of the thread
A 2019 Toyota Etios diesel owner experienced an ABS fault, with the ABS light on and the system not functioning. Thanks! Before the ABS light came on, I didn't notice anything obviously wrong, like strange steering or traction control. But maybe there were small things I missed. What happened in your case? Did the diagnostic scan show the same error codes?

Yeah, mine was the same – no warning, just BAM, lights. Ended up being the lateral acceleration sensor. Get it checked out at a workshop, they'll know for sure.

Thanks, I appreciate it! It was the defective control unit, like I thought. Replacing the lateral acceleration sensor fixed the ABS. Your help sped things up.

I had something similar happen with my Etios. ABS light, the whole shebang. Was it doing anything weird before the light came on?
