Etios ABS Fault

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2019 Toyota Etios diesel. The ABS light is on, and the ABS system isn't working. The diagnostic scan says it's a defective lateral acceleration sensor control unit. Has anyone else had this issue, especially with steering angle, traction control, or stability systems? The car has 166848 km on it. I'm trying to see what my options are before I spend around 1000€ on repairs.

I had something similar happen with my Etios. ABS light, the whole shebang. Was it doing anything weird before the light came on?

Thanks! Before the ABS light came on, I didn't notice anything obviously wrong, like strange steering or traction control. But maybe there were small things I missed. What happened in your case? Did the diagnostic scan show the same error codes?

Yeah, mine was the same – no warning, just BAM, lights. Ended up being the lateral acceleration sensor. Get it checked out at a workshop, they'll know for sure.

Thanks, I appreciate it! It was the defective control unit, like I thought. Replacing the lateral acceleration sensor fixed the ABS. Your help sped things up.
