Summary of the thread
The 2023 Toyota Etios diesel's A/C compressor is not engaging, resulting in no cooling and an error code. The suspected cause is undervoltage, but confirmation is needed. A professional diagnostic is recommended to address the issue, which was resolved by correcting the undervoltage and replacing the pressure switch to prevent future problems.

Could you elaborate on which components you inspected and whether you observed any anomalies such as excessive play in the belt tensioner or unusual readings from the pressure sensor? Also, did you resolve your issue and what actions did you take?

Right, I remember now! I didn't check any readings or anything, to be honest. I just sort of visually inspected the belt tensioner to see if it was wobbly or loose. It looked okay to my untrained eye. The same with the pressure switch. I ended up taking it to a workshop, because I didn't have the right tools or the expertise to diagnose it properly. Honestly, save yourself the headache and just get it professionally checked!

I appreciate the additional information. Based on your experience and my own assessment, I will proceed with a professional diagnostic. The repair was indeed due to undervoltage in the vehicle, costing 240€. I'll have the A/C system checked for any additional issues and the pressure switch replaced to prevent recurrence.

Oh, I know this problem all too well! I had a similar issue with my Etios some time ago. The air conditioning would just suddenly stop working. It was incredibly frustrating, especially during the hotter months. Did you check the pressure switch or the belt tensioner? Those were the first things I looked at, but I'm no expert, just a guy who likes to try and fix things myself!
