Etios audio system failure

I'm having trouble with the audio system in my 2016 Toyota Etios with a gasoline engine. The whole thing just stopped working. No sound at all, regardless of whether I'm using the radio, USB audio, or even the auxiliary input. I've checked the volume control multiple times, but it's not muted or anything. I’m suspecting the bass speaker may be broken. Anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar problem with my Etios. Did the sound quality seem off at all before it cut out? Mine was crackling a bit, then nothing. It could be a defective speaker, yes. Have you checked the fuses?

The sound wasn't crackling or anything beforehand, it just went silent. Where are the fuses located, and how can I check them?

The fuses are usually under the dashboard or in the engine compartment. The manual should show you exactly where. If the fuses look okay, and you're sure it's not a simple volume issue, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it diagnosed. Could be more complicated than just a speaker.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Looks like I'll have to take it to a shop. The mechanic confirmed that the bass speaker was defective. It's going to cost me around 280€ to get it fixed. Thanks again for your help!
