Etios Auxiliary Heater Problem
Summary of the thread
The auxiliary heater on a 2016 Toyota Etios diesel is not functioning, with an error code indicating an issue in the heater circuit. A suspected cause is a defective glow plug, which is a common problem with these heaters. Replacing the glow plug resolved a similar issue for another owner, but a diagnostic check is recommended to confirm the cause before proceeding with repairs.

Yes, the error code points directly to the auxiliary heater circuit. Was the glow plug replacement the fix for your Etios?

In my case, yes, replacing the glow plug resolved the issue. However, it's best to confirm with a proper diagnostic check at a workshop before replacing any parts. The repair cost me 440€.

I've experienced something similar with my Toyota Etios. Is the error code related to the heater system specifically? If so, it could very well be the glow plug, like you suspect. It's a common issue with these auxiliary heaters.
