Etios Windshield Wipers Failure
Summary of the thread
The windshield wipers on a 2015 Toyota Etios stopped working entirely, with an error stored in the system. Possible causes include a blown fuse, faulty wiring harness, or defective plug connections. A similar issue was resolved by checking the wiring near the wiper motor. It is suggested to have a professional diagnose and fix the problem, as it may involve electrical components.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly should I be looking for the wiring harness? Is it easy to get to? Also, is there any chance the rain sensor has something to do with this? I don't even know where that thing is located!

The wiring harness for the wipers is usually near the wiper motor itself, under the hood. Unless you're comfortable poking around with car electrics, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly. The error memory pointed to a defective cable or plug connection in my case. Saved me a headache!

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice! I think I'll take it to a shop. They said it's likely a defective cable or plug connection and quoted me about 95€ to fix it, so not too bad. Appreciate the help!

I drive an Etios too, and something similar happened to me. My wipers just quit. Did you check the wiring harness and the plug connections? That's where my problem was. Could be a faulty wiper motor, but check the simple stuff first.
