Thanks for the quick response! I haven't checked the connector specifically. Where exactly is the engine oil temperature sensor located? And how easy is it to get to?

Okay, so on my Peugeot, it was a pain to get to, tucked away near the oil filter. I'd check a workshop manual or online diagrams for your Evalia. Honestly, if you're not super comfortable with car electrics, I'd suggest getting it checked out by a pro. Could be a simple fix, but messing with sensors can cause more problems.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I'll check the connector first, but you're probably right about getting it to a workshop. Turns out the cable was faulty and the repair cost me 95€. All good now!

Hey! Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Peugeot 308. Engine light, weird oil pressure readings... Drove me nuts! Did you check the sensor connector itself? Mine was corroded like crazy.
