Evalia Hissing Sound and Fuel Consumption

I own a 2018 Nissan Evalia with a gasoline engine. I've noticed higher fuel consumption lately, and the check engine light is on. There's also a loud hissing sound when accelerating. Mileage is at 193148 km. Suspect an air intake system leak, likely in the intake hose. Any thoughts?

Hey, I have an Evalia too! That hissing sounds familiar. Did you check the vacuum hoses? When mine was doing that, turned out a hose near the throttle body had a split in it. Fuel economy went way down the drain, it was awful. Is your air filter clean?

Thanks for the insight. Which specific vacuum hose are you referring to? Was the hissing constant, or only under acceleration?

I'm no mechanic so I couldn't tell you exactly which one. I just wiggled a few of them and one made the engine stumble. It was definitely worse when I put my foot down. If you're not sure maybe get it checked out? It's a cheap fix anyway.

Appreciate the advice. Confirmed the intake hose was leaking. Replaced it; cost was 100€. Symptoms are now resolved.
