Evanda Start Stop Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2004 Chevrolet Evanda is experiencing issues with its start-stop system, leading to unexpected engine shutdowns and warning lights. A potential cause could be a weak battery, as the system is sensitive to voltage levels and may malfunction if the battery is not strong enough, even if the car starts normally. It is suggested to have the battery and start-stop system diagnosed and possibly replaced to prevent further issues.

Thanks! It starts fine, though. Could a weak battery still be the problem even if the starter sounds normal?

Mine started fine at first too. But the system needs a strong battery to restart after it shuts down. If the error memory mentions low voltage or anything battery-related, I'd guess that's it. I had to get mine diagnosed and replaced at a shop. Best to check it to avoid future problems.

Understood. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll book an appointment to have the battery and start-stop system checked.

I had almost the same thing happen on my Evanda. Does it sometimes struggle to start? It could be the battery. My 'eco' mode went haywire when the battery was dying; that system is really sensitive to voltage.
