Everest Camshaft Sensor Issue

Thanks for the input. I focused on the camshaft sensor due to the error code. You mentioned checking the crankshaft position sensor – is that difficult to access, and did you have the same error code initially?

Access to the crankshaft sensor can be a bit tight depending on the engine layout, but it's usually near the crankshaft pulley. I don't recall the exact error code I had, but the symptoms were almost identical. Given the symptoms and the error code you are seeing I suggest going to the workshop. They can check the wiring and sensor signals.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to the shop; defective camshaft sensor cable, just like we thought. Replaced, and now it runs perfectly. Repair cost was 95€. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my Everest: reduced engine power and poor starts. The camshaft sensor talks to the ECU to manage ignition and fuel injection timing, so if it's off, the car struggles. Have you checked the crankshaft position sensor too? They often work together, and a fault in one can trigger issues in the other. It could also cause rough idling or even engine misfires.
