Everest Fuel Flap Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Ford Everest owner is experiencing a fuel flap release issue, with the mechanism completely non-functional and accompanied by an error code and intermittent problems. The issue is suspected to be related to the electric actuator, a common problem in similar models. The suggested solution is to have the actuator and wiring checked by a professional technician, which ultimately led to the replacement of the faulty actuator.

It happened on its own, wasn't using the key fob at all. Can you tell me more about the electric actuator?

Mine was a bad actuator. I bypassed it for a bit, but you should take it to a good shop. With the error and the other issues, it's worth getting it checked to avoid more problems. They can check the wiring and the actuator itself.

Took your advice and went to a technician. It was the electric actuator, needed replacing. Cost me 210€. Thanks for the help!

I have a similar Everest and had something like this happen. Were you using the key fob when it started, or did it just happen? Could be the electric actuator.
