Everest Headlight Range Control Fault

No, I have not checked the headlight switch. Could a faulty switch really be the cause? And yes, my Everest has auto-leveling headlights. What does that mean for potential causes?

A faulty switch isn't the most common cause but worth checking the connections. Since you've got auto-leveling, it sounds like the servomotor or the auto-leveling system itself. With those symptoms and the error code, I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. They'll have the right tools and knowledge to diagnose it properly.

I followed your suggestion and took the Everest to a local workshop, where they confirmed a defective servomotor in the headlight. The repair cost was 1040€. Now it is working again!

Sounds like a bummer. A defective servomotor is possible. Have you checked the headlight switch itself or any associated control modules? Could be a simpler issue there. Does your Everest have auto-leveling or adaptive headlights?
