Everest Massage Seat Switch Failure
Summary of the thread
The massage seat switch in a 2009 Ford Everest has stopped working, and an error is stored in the error memory. Possible causes include a defective cable, plug connection, or a loose connector in the wiring harness under the seat. Suggested solutions involve checking the wiring harness for loose connections or chafed wires, potentially requiring seat removal. If self-repair is challenging, taking the vehicle to a workshop for professional diagnosis and repair is recommended.

Good point about the wiring harness. I haven't had a chance to really dig in yet. Is it easy to get to? Did you have to remove the seat completely to check it?

Yeah, you'll probably need to get the seat out. It's a bit of a pain, but worth it to check. I ended up taking mine to a shop. They said it was a loose connector and some chafed wires. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, a workshop is probably the best bet. They can properly diagnose and repair it.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I'll take it to the workshop. They quoted me around 95€, which seems reasonable to get it sorted.

I had something similar happen in my Everest. Not sure what year mine is, but it's also a Ford. The massage function just quit. Could be a loose connection, or maybe the switch itself is faulty. It's like when a fuse blows, the whole circuit goes down. Have you checked the wiring harness under the seat?
