Everest power window failure
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a power window failure in a 2003 Ford Everest. The initial diagnostic indicated an issue with the window regulator, but there is suspicion that the power window switch might be the actual problem. A similar past experience suggests that an unresponsive switch could be the cause, and it is recommended to have a professional diagnosis to confirm the fault before proceeding with repairs.

Thanks! The switch isn't loose, but it does feel unresponsive. Did your issue feel similar? What did you do to figure out the problem?

Yes, that sounds very similar. The switch felt normal at first, but wouldn't activate the windows. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the switch. Given the error code and how the switch feels, it's likely the same issue. I'd recommend a professional diagnosis before replacing parts.

Thanks for the advice! Based on that and the diagnostic, I'll get it checked at a workshop to confirm the fault. The estimated repair cost, including the switch replacement, is about 200€.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Everest, though I can't recall the exact year. Power windows stopped, and the error code also pointed to the regulator. Before replacing the regulator motor, check the power window switch itself. Might be a simpler fix. Does the switch feel loose or unresponsive?
