Hey, I also had a problem with the climate control panel in my Modus. Everything is fine now, but it was really annoying. Can you remember how expensive the repair was for you? Have you had any problems since then or did everything run smoothly afterwards?

So after the mechanic had a hand in it once, fortunately there were no further problems. The defect in the air conditioning control unit was successfully repaired. The repair costs were around €940, which was needed to fix the faulty air conditioning control unit. I know that's no mean feat, but once it was done, everything worked as it should again. No further problems since then. I hope this helps you a bit!

Thanks for the info, guys! I'm reassured to hear that problems like this don't occur again after the repair. I probably won't be able to avoid replacing the climate control unit. 940 euros is a lot, but if everything works again afterwards, then it's worth it. Hopefully I won't be left in the lurch again afterwards. Thanks again for your help, really great!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2008 Renault Scenic. My climate control unit was faulty and the whole thing was just a bit annoying. The heating/ventilation had simply stopped working. They replaced it at the garage, it wasn't a big job, but it was something important. They said it was probably a popular repair. It took some time in the workshop, but after that everything ran smoothly again. It's just that if it breaks down, the air conditioning and heating system are simply gone, so it has to be repaired. Not nice, but what can you do, right? Hope this helps you.
